catch up

The new semester has definately taken it's toll on my spare time... well, on pretty much everything in my life except the amount of time I have to spend with doctors. My priority is still my play time with the cutest 2-year-old on the planet. We really did celebrate christmas, I just can't justify the time it takes to document everything in our lives. Here are a few randoms from lately...

let it snow

Olive had her first real experience with snow a couple weeks ago.. it was a hit until she took off her mittens and started making snowballs. The fun day outside ended in her screaming "owee hands!!" over and over again, it was the saddest thing ever. I am pretty sure this winter is going to be the best one ever with this little pumpkin around.

My sweet baby turned 2 on friday... it is crazy how fast the last couple of years have gone. Her cake didn't exactly come out the way I planned, let's just say martha has a little more skills than me. Thanks to everyone for coming, Olive loved playing with her best buddies. She had her 2 year checkup today, and happy to report she is perfectly healthy (still on the small side). She is only 23 lbs. 10 oz, but is in the 75% for height. I of course, think she is the best thing on the planet, and the smartest. She knows all of her numbers 1-10, all of the alphabet, and loves to carry on conversations with anyone who will listen. Love you Olive!!

Fall is my favorite time of year, I am sad to see it go. Olive thought that playing in the leaves was pretty much the best thing in the world. Hopefully she likes snow just as much...

If any of you don't know Olive, you might be suprised to learn that she has personality... a LOT of personality. She really thrives on being the center of attention and entertaining a crowd. Some may think it's strange that I didn't dress my adorable tot as a princess or fairy, but it just didn't suit her as well as this... meet the mad scientist named Olive. She is funny, she is unabashed, and she is mine to enjoy for years to come.

Holding our prizes, Olive won best child's costume, and I won best girl's costume (which I really don't understand.. I think rach or mags should have claimed this one). Pretty awesome. I am sad Halloween is over, it is one of my favorite things of the year.

Hey friends, just wanted to let you know olive is still here... sweet, funny, and beautiful as ever. Life has been incredibly busy lately... moving, school, work, toddler, etc. We spend a lot of time playing outside, and we are just enjoying Olive every single second. She is amazing.

I have mixed feelings about summer. On one hand you have 100 degree weather which forces me to stay indoors from about noon to 7 p.m., but on the other hand you get boating, mild summer nights, and best of all the fresh fruits and veggies. I am definitely looking forward to my favorite time of year, the fall. But, after picking these little delights off the tree last night, I came to the realization that summer definitely has it's redeeming qualities.
